Blaney’s Thoughts on Bristol…
“Obviously, our main goal again this week will be to get ourselves a finish that will get this Caterpillar Racing team back into the top 35 in owners’ points. We never thought we would be in this position at this point in the season, but it is what it is, and now it’s our job get things figured out and get this team locked safely within the top 35. Everyone involved with this Bill Davis team worked really hard in the off season, and I’m not sure how we got ourselves into such a hole. We’re a better team than we’ve shown, and we owe it to Caterpillar, Toyota and everyone that supports our race team -- not to mention ourselves -- to turn this season around. We’re not going to give up, just the same as we didn’t give up when the chips were down last year. But it sure adds a tremendous amount of pressure to the weekend when you don’t have a spot in the top 35 to fall back on. We don’t want to have to go through that again.”
